Postby gaz » May 04, 2004 05:55

Hi ,

I want to build a free standing wooden holder for martial art breaker/focus boards , does anyone out there have any blueprints/plans to build one , I do not have the skills to build myself , but would like to give it a go if I had some plans to work off . I have posted this on forums before , but no one could help.......... be great if anyone else could . Thank you

:D

If you have a picture of what you are thinking about, I don't think it would be that difficult to draw up some plans for you. I have never seen what you are talking about.

If you look at the break from Krystyna Sargent 4th Dan brick break on the url "http://www.ukta.com/main.html", that is the frame I was looking to build , although I have looked at Master R O'Neill 7th Dan breaking 6 inches of wood on another less complicated build , I think I will go with that one , it seems that it would be easy enough to assemble {famous last words}

cheers

:)

I'm pretty busy right now, but when I get a few minutes I will try to work up some plans for you. How high would you like the break height? Do you know the dimensions of the standard wood and bricks used for breaking? This info would be very helpful.

Board holder

The board holder I used for my brick break (http://www.oadbywigstontkd.co.uk) was built by one of my students. One of the UKTA instructors builds custom holders in welded steel which may interest you. See www.multiholders.com. You could also contact the UKTA head office for plans to construct wooden holders. www.ukta.com

Thank you, Maam.

Would you mind replying to the original post. I have been too busy at work to draw up any plans, and the original poster was the one who was interested.

Thank you again.

Thank you Krystyna , this really helps ... it wasn't exaclty what I was looking for originally , it's much better!!! ...... I can give these pictures to a friend to build for me , as he now has an idea of what I am talking about , as he is not involved in martial arts he could get the picture . Again thank you , for all the forums I have used in the past , this is the one that has really helped , I was going to give up trying , but you have really helpped......again thanks Krystyna your a star :D
